Bath and Body Works has the best candles ever. Period. The end!

Happy fall! It doesn't feel like fall today with the temperature reaching 83! (WHAT?) I think it's really strange how warm it is but I loved it outside today! I wanted to talk about my favorite thing about fall and winter - new yummy candles! I have been doing my research and finally picked out my set of 4 (I always buy seasonal candles in 4, hello OCD!) I love relaxing, yummy scents in the colder months. I get pretty down in the winter because it's so dark and it really helps having delicious candles around. My mother's favorite winter candle is Yankee Candle Blueberry, but don't you dare buy it.. it's hard enough for her to find as it is! Check out my selection and let me know if you agree and what you'd add to the mix! Have a great day off tomorrow.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

Hello VCE beauties. I am so sorry I haven't written this post sooner considering the entire month of October is  Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I find it hard to explain how I truly feel so I made a sign! Here is some background on it. My mother's best friend has breast cancer and she is my hairdresser. I've been going to her since I was born and I don't trust another soul with my hair! She has been fighting the cancer for 4 years now and she is finally in remission after 20+ surgeries. I made this sign with her in mind because even with cancer she was the most beautiful, put together woman I have ever met. She is so strong.. such a fighter. I created this sign using high quality, classic makeup products to symbolize the endless beauty these courageous women have. I used MAC liquid eyeliner to write "October is" because liquid eyeliner is a staple in every girls wardrobe. I then used Chanel nail polish in the shade Morning Rose to write "Breast Cancer Awareness Month". I chose this polish to write with because it is light pink with gold flecks which symbolizes, to me, an almost ethereal beauty that cannot be altered. I finished the sign by using NARS matte lipstick in Carthage. I chose this hot pink shade because it embodies the strength and perseverance these women have. I had such a great time making this sign and I would love to know how you celebrate life and health while raising awareness!

Have a beautiful weekend!

Fusion Beauty StimuLashFusion Lash Enhancing + Lengthening Mascara is something you need in your beauty arsenal if you want beautiful lashes!

This mascara has some serious claims. This eyelash-fortifying mascara is said to increase lash length and thickness, immediately and over time.  I was pretty skeptical because most of those products that say they are going to enhance my lashes usually fall short. I wasn't born with beautiful long eyelashes and frankly they are quite invisible without mascara.. pretty stubby right? I figured that I couldn't go wrong with this product, and at $28 I thought the numbers had switched on me. $28 for a beautiful mascara AND growth treatment? Unheard of. As you all may know, Fusion Beauty has quite the cult following on their eyelash enhancer, StimuLashFusion™ Intensive Night Conditioning Lash Enhancer. That product is $89. YES, $89. It is extremely effective and has rave reviews and I've personally tried it and saw the effects within one week. Can I afford that price regularly? No, so this mascara is great news for people on a budget like me. This mascara is infused with a clinically-proven, lash-enhancing peptide called SYMPEPTIDE™. This ingredient improves the appearance of your lashes in as little as four-to-six weeks. I've had this for 2 months and I've seen serious lash growth. My lashes look full even without mascara! I adore the brush because it is very hard but flexible so you do not get anything but a beautiful fanned out look - without clumps. I don't think you could create clumps if you wanted to with this mascara, it's really that good. I sometimes have issues taking off mascara from other companies but never this one! It is so gentle and really does remove with soap and water. For such a gentle product, you'd assume you'd get raccoon eyes right? Nope! It stays on your lashes unless you cry soapy tears... which I think I can safely assume you all don't! I will always repurchase this mascara because it volumizes, thickens, curls and lengthens over time. What else does a girl need?

What do you think about this mascara? Do you think it can solve your lash issues like it did for me? Let me know in the comments!

Urban Decay 15th Anniversary Palette blows my mind!

Let me begin with saying I can't get enough of Urban Decay eyeshadows. I think they are amazing formulation and pigment. I usually buy them in singles, however, because I usually don't like UD palette packaging.. until now. This packaging is the definition of luxe. The outer box is a gunmetal purple that features a faceted jewel “UD” on the cover and a beautiful laser-cut filigree design on the sides. Inside, the shadow tray pulls out to reveal a velvet-lined compartment that can be used to stash jewelry or personal mementos like tweezers, rings, etc. I love that the entire tray of shadows comes right out! Sometimes I just hold that up while I'm doing my makeup because it's lighter than with the box attached.

The first row of eyeshadows is my personal favorite. I love these neutrals because they don't have any duplicates.. they truly are unique. These shadows are Midnight Rodeo (medium metallic brown w/silver and gold glitter), Midnight 15 (oyster pearl w/silver glitter), Vanilla (shimmery white gold), Flow (soft peach shimmer), Chase (metallic bright bronze.) I didn't experience any fallout issues with these and all of them are true to description except Vanilla has more gold in it than the description warrants. The second row, the brights, are so fun and very pigmented. Omen is my absolute favorite color! It is unbelievably beautiful in real life. I make a smokey eye using Half Truth in the crease, which is in the next row. These shadows are Tainted (pale matte purple with golden shimmer), Junkshow (bright pink w/fuchsia shift), Omen (shimmery metallic bright purple w/blue shift), Evidence (deep metallic blue), Deep End (bright teal shimmer.) All of those are extremely pigmented and true, including Tainted. I know some bloggers experienced difficulty with that particular shade but I found it pleasantly pigmented and workable! The final row is my "smoke show row" (aptly named) and I love how these colors work.. they aren't chalky in the least bit and are surprisingly forgiving for such pigment. These shadows are fabulous when used as liner. I use my Tarina Tarantino liner brush with the Blackout color and get phenomenal results! These colors are Deeper (deep shimmery golden brown), M.I.A. (soft shimmery dark brown), Ace (dark gunmetal shimmer), Blackout (darkest, most saturated black), Half Truth (shimmery smoky purple.)

These are also full sized eyeshadows at .05 each which makes this palette a steal for $55. I usually do not feel comfortable investing in something with 15 eyeshadows but I knew I'd use them all - and I do! My only gripe about this product is that it is not very travel friendly. The lid does not securely attach to the box so it makes it a palette that stays at home. I wish this wasn't limited edition, it really is the most gorgeous set of eyeshadows I've ever seen.. far from any gimmicky palette similiar to what we've all been seeing lately. Do you have this palette? Are you going to grab it? Let me know in the comments!

Boscia Green Tea Blotting Linens saved my life!

I have combination skin that is really tempermental. Some days I am really oily on my cheeks and tzone and other days I am not oily at all. I am pretty acne prone because of the oil that sometimes sits on my face (yuck!) I don't use oil control products because they dry out and irritate my dry skin so I was very excited to try these babies! As I stated above, these linens are exceptionally crafted from Abaca Tree Plant and let me tell you - these feel so luxurious on the skin. I noticed the oil on the blotting linen as soon as I finished wiping it over my face - it was amazing! After I used this linen I noticed my skin felt renewed and very clean. I am so happy to report I have not had a breakout since using these, even at my most oily points! I highly suggest you grab these if you get oily sometimes or a lot of the time - even on the hottest summer days this year these linens kept me shine and blemish free without drying my skin! I can feel the antioxidants freshening my complexion! These are a constant staple over at VCE! Do you love these or are you planning on trying? Let me know! I love hearing from everyone who reads this blog!

Dior Diorskin Shimmer Star in Amber Diamond Review!

I am SO into Dior beauty. Ever since I saw the display at my Sephora store a couple years ago I haven't been able to stop indulging! The colors are always beautiful and the pigments are strong while blending seamlessly ALWAYS. This product is seriously perfect and is the best highlighter I've ever owned in my life. This beautiful powder is extremely shimmery and finely milled. On lighter skintones this almost acts as a highlight/bronzer but with medium tones it is a beautiful highlight.. such a wonderful year round product. I use it along with my Dior Bronze Harmonie de Blush in Coral Riviera and it's my favorite look EVER! At $44 this product is pricey but worth it. I promise it's way better than any other highlight I've at least tried.

Hope this post helped you :) If you'd like, please follow my blog. I am doing a contest fairly soon and I'd like to have at least 100 followers before I announce it! Happy shopping beauties!

SEPHORA by OPI : Seeing Pink Elephants Swatch & Review!

SEPHORA by OPI polishes are affordable, chip resistant and very trendy. I am so into the new colors (Check out my review for It's Hippo To Be Square) and Seeing Pink Elephants is awesome! I am always searching for a pretty pink polish and Nars Schiap was the closest I could get.. until this! This is my new favorite polish ever. This polish/colour wears extremely well and is very bright and gorgeous. I almost forgot, do you know what "Seeing Pink Elephants" means? "Seeing Pink Elephants is a euphemism for a drunken hallucination, caused by alcoholic hallucinosis or delirium tremens." Silly name but I'll take it. I painted my toes with this polish! Love it tons.

SEPHORA by OPI : It's Hippo To Be Square Swatch & Review

SEPHORA by OPI is such a consistently good line of nail polish/colour. I am always finding myself buying colors (some at random) because of the affordable price of these polishes. When I was notified that this color was now available I had to have this color! It reminds me of OPI's Mod About You! I love it A LOT. It's currently on my nails right now! This color is available on www.sephora.com for $9.50!

Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner in Electric is E L E C T R I F Y I N G! Swatches & Review

When it comes to eye makeup, do you stay neutral? I usually do if I even wear eye makeup - usually I'll just wear mascara (Benefit They're Real is my new fave) but lately something has come over me. I'm dying for some color! I have green eyes and usually us green eyed folk stay away from blue eyeliner but who makes the rules? I think this color is beautiful on all eye colors, it is just so gorgeous! I highly suggest this color pencil regardless of eye color! Check it out..

(I have no makeup on except mascara and eyeliner, excuse the grossness!)

IT'S ELECTRIC!

Let's talk about how long it lasts. I had a day of running errands in the sun yesturday and this held up without question. I then forgot to take it off before I took a shower (oops!) and washing my face and that STILL didn't budge this baby.. I had to use special eye makeup remover after the shower which is absolutely great. The color of/in the pencil is so pigmented and I can't believe how creamy and smooth it applies to my lashline, absolutely NO tugging. I am partial to MUFE Aqua Eyes but these are almost better in my opinion. My other favorite color of this pencil is called 'BAKED' and it's the best! I keep saying it but www.urbandecay.com is having a friends and family sale and it's 25% OFF with code FFSUMMER11. Go get these pencils and let me know what else you beauties grab! Do you think this blue would be your favorite too?

YSL Rouge Pur Couture #27 Review & Swatches

Beauties, how long have you been searching for the perfect pink? I've been on the hunt for quite some time and this product is going in the HOLY GRAIL category for it's design, color, pigmentation and wear. Most pinks turn darker on my pigmented lips, however YSL is known for their true pigmentation. I loved the original colors released about a year ago (I bought & reviewed #17 Le Orange) and these new "summer" colors are literally mindblowing! I literally can't get enough! $30 is quite a steep price for lipstick, however this specific color and line is definitely worth it. Check it out!

(metal case attracts fingerprints! hey, there's mine!)

This color is ridiculously perfect. The scent alone of this lipstick would have you begging for more (I talk it up in my post on pur couture #17!) and the packaging is SO luxe. With my previous experience with the Rouge Pur Couture line I have used a lip brush when applying to avoid overkill and product waste.. however this color is so stunning and wearable (surprisingly!) it allows for tube to lip greatness! I am so thrilled with this purchase and I can't seem to use much of anything else since I got it. Light skinned and dark skinned beauties will both look fabulous in this color, however I think it is best suited for light/medium complexions. Did I mention how long this lasts? I apply once in the morning and even after eating and drinking it is still looking great! Even if you wipe this lipstick off it will leave behind a light pink stain. Basically there is nothing wrong with this lipstick and you need it, now! :)

Tarte for TrueBlood Cheek Stain and Lipsurgence Swatches & Review!

Let me start by saying I'm not a huge TrueBlood fan. A lot of my friends go completely crazy over how sexy everyone is on that show and at a local bar in Boston last year they met the whole crew (I passed on that which shows my true feelings!) That being said, I really really LOVE the colors in this limited edition line. While I do not own the palette, I did get a chance to pick up the cheek stain and the lipsurgence. I am in absolute love with the cheek stain! I had never used a cheek stain before (from Tarte) and needless to say I am very, very impressed! As far as the lip product goes, I own over 20 lipsurgence products and it was very high quality just like the others and the color is perfect. Check it out!

*drooooooool* Wait, what? Sorry, I was caught up in the pictures of the lipsurgence lip tint! Tarte describes this color as an iridescent red shade and I agree. Some bloggers are calling it pink, but do you see pink in the swatch? I don't. This lip product is wonderfully moisturizing and beautiful on.. my only gripe is that it is not terribly long lasting (I don't mind reapplying though because it tastes and smells like mint!) This lip product perfectly compliments the gorgeous cheek stain which is unbelievable.

First off, this cheek stain smells like tropical fruits. I can't even handle how delicious it smells and my face smells like it when I apply! The stain looks like a bright red gold sparkle party in the tube but it applies a beautiful iridescent reddish pink shade. I apply the cheek stain directly from the tube which does result in some larger glitter on my face and I like it that way! Who doesn't want glitter on their face? Also this cheek stain lasts for an incredible amount of time on my face! I applied it at 7am one morning and it was still just as gorgeous at 10pm! My skin is light/medium right now and it looks good on my darker friends as well. Definitely worth the investment.

The cheek stain applied directly from tube to arm without blending to show color intensity!

Summer playlist and where I've been, future posts to follow ASAP

Hello beauties! I had a really nice but calm 4th of July, how was yours? I haven't been blogging about my recent purchases because I've been so caught up in the weather! The summer sun feels like warm hands hugging me and I literally can't bring myself to sit online for tooo long. So far my summer has consisted of long drives, ice cream cones, beach bummin and MAJOR hauling! I have amazing things to show you once my camera finishes charging! Some things I am totally obsessed with would be the Tarte for True Blood cheek stain (most natural beautiful color ever), YSL Rouge Pur Couture in #27 (Best summer color besides Nars Carthage which I previously reviewed), Hourglass Cosmetics Illume set in Bronze Light (I won this and I can't even handle how PERFECT it is) and I can't stop playing with my new Dior Shimmer Powder in Amber Diamond. Dior has been blowing my mind lately! Urban Decay is having a 25% off sale right now by the way (enter code FFSUMMER11.) I, of course, did NOT miss out on that sale... I purchased the "Lit" 24/7 Eyeshadow Pencil and the Lush Lash System! What did you purchase? Are you on a spending freeze until Fall collections? I wanted to share with you all my favorite summer songs. I am really into music (it's my other passion besides blogging!) so I thought I would help you hang ten in style (or just look hot, whatever.)
